I've decided to create this animated series based of a game I love so much, Monster Hunter! This episode is just one of many to come, and it may take time before another one get publish, but I'll the best I can to getting them out there. So please enjoy!

Happy Holidays

This was a piece that I did for one the bi-monthly art challenges a group of friends and I do. Since its the winter season, the theme for the challenge revolved around Chrismas. At the time, I was listening to a K-pop song called "Crayon" by G-Dragon, and the amount of times I heard him say swag drove me to the point where I couldn't get that word out of my head.

Have you heard people say that  when something you've experienced becomes lodged in your mind and you can't get it out of your head till you've submitted or accepted it?  I guess I kinda submitted to that word by drawing something like this, and now the word "swag" doesn't play in my head randomly. haha!

Zombie Duck Hunt 2 Art

Greetings! This time I wanted to show case some of the art I did for the user interface within a mobile game called Zombie Duck Hunt developed by Broken Thumbs Apps. I worked very closely with a few other artists to create similar looking assets with direction coming from out art lead. We worked very quickly on the initial designs so the interface could be set up and running. After completing most of the necessary assets, the team focused on layouts to unionize each individual menu. Here are some examples of how the completed menus look:

Galaxy Getaway Art

Welcome once again! I'll be showing off some of the assets I created for a mobile app game called Galaxy Getaway under Broken Thumbs Apps. From what I recall, I believe the game was launched during June, but was later discontinued to pursue more innovative creations. The time I spent on that project was fun and enlightening, and I would like to share some of my favorite pieces that I worked on.

Heart Hallyu! Intro

Here's the newly completed animated intro I did for Lisa Oh's Heart Hallyu! Since I didn't post her site last time I'm posting it this time.

and

She didn't really give me much direction this time, beside that it all needed to be cute. All she required was I keep the pink cloud backdrop, have the chibi girl mouth "heart hallyu!", and have the bunnies come down from above, say "yay" and bounce once. Plus have the chibi girl do something like jump or wave...

So I thought instead of having the chibi girl jump in again like her last intro, I made it so she's already on screen to save time. I made the bunnies appear after she puts the hat on so it feels like the bunny hat is magical and summons bunnies when worn. Great hat right?! I tried to do that hat wearing animation by tweening at first, but it just didn't look right. Frame by frame always looks better, and I respect all those frame by frame animators out there that do so!

By the way, the original art was done by... you guest it! Fiona Quan, AKA Tamagochan! She does awesome work and is always a great artist to work with.

Finally updated with 2 animations!

I'm finally updating this thing! I haven't really had time to create much interesting animations lately, with a job and personal biz. But I will be showing off some recently done stuff I did some time ago.

and

I vectorized and animated the pieces from the original art. Which by the way was done by Fiona Quan, AKA Tamago. You could view some of her stuff on her blog here: http://2dtamago.blogspot.com/
She's an awesome artist, very talent and easy to work with.

I was told that the animations needed to be very short since they were going to be used as a intro for some videos. So I had to make due with such a short time frame while adding subtle details that made the animation flow. The end result was loved by the receivers, Ed Park and Lisa Oh. You could visit their site here if you want:

Ed's site has a whole bunch of gaming tips and strategies.

I believe Lisa's sit isn't fully done yet, but you could follow her on Facebook.

She did mention she needed a new intro, so look forward to that soon. I'll post her site up later, along with the finished intro I'll be doing for her.

Till next time!

One Shot Heroes: Immune System Animation

I got another gig after the Carbon Crusher animation because they needed a 2D animator. It was suppose to be really rough and short because it was on a tight budget with a quick deadline. It took me 5 days to fully finish it, I used the 5th day to export and compress the file size down a bit so I guess it was more like 4 1/2 days?

Here's finished piece with sound. If you want to watch the rest of the film, do a search on youtube.com for "One Shot Heroes". My segment is from 1:00-1:40

Here's the animation just by itself if you don't want to watch all that extra stuff. Sorry I didn't get sound in this one.
